The charging voltage can be fine tuned to suit any battery system. The input for the charger is 230 V at 50/60 HZ. The charging voltage can be measured directly at the battery terminals to compensate for voltage loss due to cable resistance. An external probe is used to measure the temperature of the battery and to adapt the charging voltage accordingly.
Skylla TG chargers are compact and lightweight thanks to HF technology. The charging voltage is precisely adjustable to match all types of batteries, open or sealed. Sealed maintenance-free batteries require a particularly precise charge for a good lifespan. Any overvoltage will cause excessive outgassing followed by drying out and then premature failure.
The three charging stages of Skylla TG chargers are precisely controlled by microprocessor. The IUoUo charging curve ensures the fastest and safest charge for all battery types. The absorption duration is adjustable by switch. The Intelligent Startup function avoids initiating a full charge cycle on an already charged battery.
Their perfectly stabilized output voltage allows Skylla TG chargers to be used as a power supply, without requiring the use of batteries or capacitor banks. Each Skylla TG charger comes with an external battery temperature sensor which will automatically reduce the charging voltage as the battery temperature rises. This function is essential in particular to avoid overcharging maintenance-free batteries.
