In this type of battery, the electrolyte is immobilized in the form of a gel. Gel batteries generally have a longer lifespan and better cycling capacity than AGM batteries.
The GEL battery line offers better discharge cycle durability as well as longer life overall. The use of high purity materials and lead-calcium grids ensures that both AGM and GEL batteries exhibit low self-discharge and will not go flat even after long periods without being charged. Both ranges are supplied with M8 perforated flat copper terminals, ensuring the best possible contact. As a result, battery terminals are not necessary. The batteries meet CE and UL specifications for non-flammable ABS containers, and are backed by Victron's two-year worldwide warranty.
