Designed with boat owners in mind, this 5-stage adaptive charging Phoenix Smart Charger can deliver either 30A or 50A to each of the three battery banks. The Phoenix 1+1 model supplies 3 A to the starter battery, the rest to the "house" bank. 24V models are available with 16/25A charging capacity. With Bluetooth enabled, you can monitor the charger and set alarms directly from your phone. Dynamic, intelligent and adaptive charging characteristics


Any smartphone, tablet or other device with Bluetooth enabled can be used to monitor the charger, change settings and update it if new software features are available.

Phoenix Smart (1+1): two outputs to charge 2 battery banks
Intended for servicing a starter battery, the second output is limited to approximately 3 amps at a slightly lower voltage.

Phoenix Smart (3): three full current outputs to charge 3 battery banks
Each output can supply the full rated output current. But the total of the three outputs combined can never exceed the rated current of the charger.

Automatic Voltage Compensation The charger compensates for voltage drops in the DC wiring by slightly increasing the output voltage if the DC current increases. Please refer to the manual for further details.

When the battery is under little demand (for example on a boat connected to the quay) the absorption charging phase is shortened to avoid overcharging. After a deep discharge, the absorption time is automatically increased to ensure that the battery is fully recharged. Storage mode is triggered when the battery has not been used for 24 hours. In sleep mode, the Float voltage is reduced to 2.2V/cell (13.2V for a 12V battery) to minimize gassing and corrosion of the positive plates. Once a week, the voltage is raised to the absorption level to “equalize” the battery. This feature prevents electrolyte stratification and sulfation, major causes of premature battery aging.

The remote on/off system has two terminals: the remote terminal H, and the remote terminal L. A remote on/off switch or relay contact can be connected between the H and L terminals. Alternatively, the H terminal can be pulled up, or the L terminal down.
