The S300 wind turbine has a nominal power of 300 watts for the 12 Volt version and 400 watts for the 24V version.
The S300 wind turbine starts rotating and producing electricity at a wind speed of 5.8 knots (3 m/s). It reaches full capacity at a speed of, with a power of 300W.
The blades have a deflection system ensuring silent operation , a silent block system is also provided to eliminate vibrations.
In order to withstand all conditions, the wind turbine is equipped with an overspeed control which means that, beyond 40 knots, the wind turbine will brake automatically. The braking of the wind turbine is done by electromagnetism.
Particularly light (6.5kg), the body of the wind turbine is designed in magnalium (aluminum alloy specially designed to resist corrosion). In addition, the wind turbine is covered with epoxy paint.
This wind turbine is supplied with an external regulator which offers the double advantage of having no electronic parts in the body of the wind turbine (better reliability) and of limiting the constraints of cable section from the wind turbine (three-phase current).
Its production starts at 5.8 knots of wind, it produces 50 watts at 10 knots and 110 watts at 15 knots. At 20 knots of wind it will produce 200 watts.
